Onward from Omelas is a GMless tabletop roleplaying game about creating a utopian city, learning its dark secret, and leaving it behind, designed for Applied Hope: The Solarpunk & Utopias Jam. Use it to create settings for other RPGs or fiction, to explore interesting new ideas about history and culture and how each part of the city intertwines, or to pass the time with some friends.

You'll need some cards and six-sided dice to play. You can play by yourself, or with any number of others, but about 3 to 5 is a sweet spot.

This game is a hack of Caro Asercion's excellent i'm sorry did you say street magic. Created with permission.

Onward from Omelas is dedicated to those who have always suffered beneath the notice of their society. If you don’t wish to purchase it, or even if you do, consider donating the purchase price to Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children, OutRight Action International, or another charity of your choice.

Hey! I got this recently and was reading through it and I'm confused about Titles and Titling. Unless I'm missing something somewhere, it feels like something that never got explained. It's mentioned a lot so I know it's important and I want to understand this as best I can.

Ah, the perils of using natural language in RPGs! In this case, despite the capital letter, Titling doesn't have any special meaning — it just refers to naming a new card, like "Docks District", "Artus Cowl", or "The Ecstatic Dawn of a Thousand Tomorrows". I'll make an update soon that states this explicitly. Good catch!

Ah of course! Thank you so much. The capital T did throw me off lol I thought I was losing my mind.
