Whoo! A Requiem For Horizon Prophecy Online: The Final Four is finally out! This was the biggest project of mine since Storm ♥ Circuit Odyssey, and I hope the time and effort I put in shows.

This was my first attempt at writing a solo RPG. In the past I'd always sort of mentally categorized solo RPGs as existing somewhere between journaling games and choose-your-own-adventure books, but reading Grey Moon Rising after submitting to the Light and Darkness TTRPG Jam really showed me a way of creating a directed, specific, but still open solo adventure. ARFHPOTFF was going to be a more typical journaling game until that moment!

Writing the game was a lot of fun by itself. I was trying to create this fictional MMO as a weird, fringe game full of off-beat concepts like you often find in AA and indie games, and I accidentally fell in love with it and now desperately want to play in it. Who doesn't want to dual-wield stolen divine magic and a custom hand cannon?
